There was crying and wailing
People were inconsolable
With tears streaming down their eyes,
They were uncontrollable.
So many lost their lives
Many others lost their dear ones
The terrorists who massacred,
Couldn’t they think even once,
Of those who became victims,
Of their ruthless slaughter?
Of those who are in trauma,
Of those who got martyred to save others?
They ruined life and property,
And impoverished so many
Of the bliss they had had in their lives;
And plunged them into the sea of misery.
What did they gain from this bloodshed,
Those heartless, inhuman souls?
What joy does the suffering of people give them?
What fun do they have, those cruel souls?
What happiness do the tears of people provide them?
Why does debris please them?
Why does the blood of victims elate them?
What happiness does a massacre fetch them?
I don’t know the answers to these questions,
But I do know one thing:
Try as much as these anti-social elements might,
They can’t break one thing.
And that is, the unity of India,
We’ll stand with our countrymen in adverse times,
And together we Indians surely will
Eradicate terrorism and its regime.
We salute the martyrs who
Laid down their lives to save ours,
And promise that we’ll fight terrorism
And protect our country from anti-social power.
So join me my dear countrymen,
Let’s teach anti-social elements a lesson.
Let’s return the glory of our great nation,
And make everyone proud to be an Indian.
